The episodes of the Bleach anime television series are based on Tite Kubo's original manga series of the same name. It is directed by Noriyuki Abe, produced by TV Tokyo, Dentsu and Pierrot, and was broadcast in Japan from October 5, 2004, to March 27, 2012.[1] The series follows the adventures of high school student Ichigo Kurosaki who can see spirits and becomes a Soul Reaper, after assuming the duties of Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki.
Forty-five pieces of theme music are used for the episodes: Fifteen opening themes and thirty closing themes. Several CDs that contain the theme music and other tracks have been released by Studio Pierrot.[4] As of January 23, 2013, all 366 episodes have been released by Aniplex in Japan in 88 DVD compilations.[5] 32 DVD compilations of the English adaptation of the series have been released by Viz Media,[6][7] and twenty six season boxsets have been released that contain all the seasons of the anime.[8][9]
The 32 DVD compilations have been released by Viz Media in the United States.[6][55] A DVD collection box of the first and final season was released on June 10, 2008[8] to September 29, 2015.[9] In 2016, Viz started releasing the series on Blu-Ray, with a total of 13 sets planned, cutting the number of DVD sets in half.
After I watched episode 366 of Bleach, I waited for a couple of months. As I expected, no new episode of the Bleach anime has been released since then. And yet, I don't believe that the anime has reached the ending.
To watch only the canon episodes of the anime, we will need a bleach filler list, so with this guide we can skip all the unnecessary episodes. So far, Bleach has 379 episodes divided into 17 seasons or arcs, of which 156 are filler episodes, 5 mixed and 7 special, this will be modified as the last arc of the manga "thousand year blood war" is being adapted.
Bleach filler episodes make up 42% of the series, a high percentage for the number of episodes it has. If we consider only the canon episodes, the anime would have 217 episodes, which is equivalent to 58% of the anime, a similar percentage to Naruto Shippuden.
The bleach fillers are entertaining, except for the bount arc, which spans episodes 64-109, the drawback of the original arcs is the amount of filler that was added, making them somewhat uncomfortable to watch. It is advisable to skip the filler episodes to move forward with the canonical story, as we did with the One Piece anime.
In this list, the episodes are marked as filler, canon or mixed, the latter will detail the minutes that you only have to watch. The films and ovas will be located in chronological order. At the end of this guide I will mention in in what chapter of the manga does the anime end on and where to start reading the manga after anime.
The last episode that aired is 379 (13 from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) corresponding to Chapters 538, 539, 540, 541 and 542 (págs. 1-13) of the manga, which is where the anime leave off.
Bleach has 4 movies and 2 ovas, which do not have continuity in the canonical story, but its chronological order can be known, this through the characters that appear, the abilities and growth. Therefore, the order to watch the bleach movies and ovas is as follows: 781b155fdc
